How is NFVS different from my family veterinarian?  

Our staff of doctors are board certified veterinary specialists.  They have received advanced training in addition to receiving a veterinary degree.  Our doctors are specially trained to treat pets who suffer from complicated or difficult to diagnose diseases. NFVS also has diagnostic equipment and capabilities not generally used by your family veterinarian.

 

What will happen when I bring my pet to NFVS for a Consultation?  

Our nurses and doctors will meet you and your pet and get a detailed history from you.  They will review your pet’s medical record, perform a complete physical exam, and discuss possible diagnoses.  They will provide an estimate of both time and expense before any tests, procedures or treatments are performed.  We strongly believe our clients should make an informed decision about the healthcare of their pets. 

 

Will I have to leave my pet for the day?  

In most cases you should plan on leaving your pet with NFVS for the day in order to perform the necessary tests and procedures. Our appointments are usually scheduled in the morning and procedures done in the afternoon.  Please allow adequate time for your visit. Complimentary WIFI is available in our lobby and restaurants and shopping are nearby for your convenience.

 

What if my pet needs to be hospitalized?  

NFVS offers 24 hour and weekend care for our hospitalized patients.  Nursing care is provided around the clock, with doctors available as needed.  You may visit your pet during designated visitation hours.

 

Does NFVS offer payment plans?  

We require a down payment in advance of service.  All fees are payable in full at the time of service.  For your convenience we accept Cash, Check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover.  NFVS also uses CareCredit as its’ payment plan. Applications for CareCredit can be completed on line before your appointment at www.CareCredit.com or in our office.
