Mitchell A. Crystal - Chief of Medicine

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Dr. Mitchell A. Crystal received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with high honors form the University of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. Following an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Crystal completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and served as Chief Resident from 1991-1992. He became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1993.

Mark C. Walker - Associate Doctor

Dr. Walker originates from Auckland, New Zealand. He graduated from Massey University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine. After working in a referral clinic in Liverpool, England, he was appointed the position of Junior Lecturer at Massey University. Dr. Walker completed a residency in small animal internal medicine at the University of Florida in 1999, the same year he became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In addition to being an associate at North Florida Veterinary Specialists, P.A., Dr. Walker is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Florida.

Bradley R. Schmidt - Associate Doctor

Dr. Schmidt received his veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1991. Following veterinary school, Dr. Schmidt completed a small animal internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, and then moved into private practice in the Boulder and Denver region. In 1994, Dr. Schmidt entered a residency in medical oncology at the University of Illinois.

Paul Sorrentino - Associate Doctor

Dr. Paul Sorrentino completed his veterinary degree at the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Following graduation, Dr. Sorrentino practiced as an associate veterinarian in Tampa, Florida for one year. He accepted a position as a staff veterinarian at North Florida Veterinary Specialists, P.A. in 2007 and has remained on staff having successfully completed his residency in small animal internal medicine in December 2010. Dr. Sorrentino is eligible to take the ACVIM exam and complete his board certification in Internal Medicine.  He enjoys all aspects of internal medicine with particular interests in immune mediated diseases and endoscopy.

Tedisue Suthers - Associate Doctor

Dr. Tedisue Suthers completed her veterinary degree at Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993.  She began her Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) training in 2008 at the Chi Institute in Gainesville, FL.
